Meiji Milk Chocolate Package Redesign
This redesign was a project for my typography class. I kinda went with the minimalist/lazy style. haha! Click the designs to enlarge and see the details. I kinda organized the Nutrition Facts part and also I removed some of the redundant info at the back. I used the font Chunk in most of the design except the Japanese characters (which just means Meiji Milk Chocolate) and the Nutrition Facts. I think it needs some adjustment in the kerning of some letters.
What do you think about the redesign?

The Anatomy of Type

Harabara Bold: It’s more fun in the Philippines campaign font
For the creative people out there: If you want to create your own ”It’s more fun in the Philippines” image, the font used in the images is called Harabara Bold. It’s a free font so you can just download it. I think the font in the images is set to 75% in opacity but I’m not sure. Some letters need adjustments on the kerning and also leading. The images have also the “banig” or straw mat pattern that can be vaguely seen. I’m not sure about the settings for those banig patterns.
What are you waiting for?? Start spreading the word! :)
Note: The banig background here came from the It’s more fun in the Philippines website. It’s actually the footer but I just flipped and duplicated it a few times. ;)

I’ve been busy for the past few days because of school and other stuff. I’ll post some photos this evening after my night class (If I still can). We have a report for my BIZ2 class and I’m not yet finish with the paper. I slept around 4 AM and woke up around 8 AM just before my alarm went off. Does this happen to you? Another thing that always happens to me is that whenever I’m ready to go to sleep, I’ve got so many things, ideas, worries in my head that I can’t sleep anymore.
Oh well, wish me luck later for my report. :)
